4,000 in Hancock County Lose Power to High Winds

Summary


BANGOR - More than 4,000 customers lost power late Friday afternoon in Hancock and Penobscot counties because of high winds and gusts. By 9 p.m., Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. had restored power to all but 434 customers.

Meanwhile, Central Maine Power Co. crews were still working to restore power to about 4,600 customers who had no electricity at 9 p.m., mostly in the Auburn and New Gloucester areas.
