The recent flap about the authenticity of the 20th Maine Infantry unit's reunion banner could be embarrassing proof that time flies, all right, especially in the antiques business.

The banner, in case you didn't read about it last week, is said to have flown at Gettysburg in 1889, at the reunion of the legendary Maine unit that valiantly repelled the Confederate forces during one of the Civil War's most important battles at Little Round Top.
