BANGOR - Memorial Day parade, 10:30 a.m. May 31, junction of State and Exchange streets, up Main Street to Davenport Park, Main and Cedar streets. Veterans forming by group, 9:30-10:15 a.m. on sidewalk. Veterans wanting to ride in parade, meet First Student buses 9:30-9:45 a.m. in front of parking garage across from KeyBank, or meet bus in front of Career Center on Broadway. Veterans also may take buses back from Davenport Park after parade.
BANGOR - Memorial Day program, May 31, Cole Land Transportation Museum, 405 Perry Road. Concert with Brewer High School Band, noon; lunch served by Brewer High Booster Parents, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Veterans with walking stick receive free hot dog or hamburger and soda. Commemoration service led by Don Colson, 1 p.m., with talk by Korean War veteran Henry Welzel, who was a POW of U.S. Army and Russia.
