Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins should join Democrat Harry Reid in rejecting Judge John Roberts for the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. We have just witnessed several days of Roberts telling the American people that he will not answer questions about the legal philosophical framework which he will bring to the task of preserving our constitutional rights.
The games played by the "advise and consent" hearings in the Senate were a farce; senators should have pressed him more forcefully.
