Summary

ROCKLAND - The Maine Department of Education has allocated $280,000 in the academic year 2007-08 for high school juniors and seniors and adult education students wishing to enroll in college courses under Maine's High School Aspirations Incentive Program.

The funding will allow Knox County and Lincoln County high school students to take college courses tuition free at University College at Rockland. The Maine Department of Education pays 50 percent of tuition costs and the college waives the other half of tuition. Courses will transfer to a college degree program if completed with a grade of C or better.
