BANGOR - A bright, yellow excavator made quick work Thursday of demolishing a long-time radiator repair shop to make way for progress.

Since the 1960s, Bangor Radiator Shop occupied a small but strategic parcel at the corner of Main and Cedar streets. During the four decades before that, the building housed a Gulf filling station.
