I had the privilege of talking with doctors and nurses in an Army National Guard unit returning from a tour of duty at the hospital in Ramstein, Germany. In a conversation with them they commented that injuries were far less severe once the troops received the new body armor provided by the $87 billion Sen. John Kerry said he is proud that he and Sen. John Edwards voted against.
With three sons proudly serving in the military - one serving 13 months in Iraq and two currently in Afghanistan - I find it hard to understand how any senator can be proud he voted to send our sons and daughters to war and then voted against providing them with lifesaving equipment. Kerry continually reminds us he is qualified to be president because he served in combat, receiving three purple hearts. I would think his own life experience would teach him the value of properly equipped and supplied troops.See the full content of this document
