Brownville Developer Gets Extension Town to Receive Funds for Review of Resort Plans

BROWNVILLE - Residents had hoped to learn more details of a proposed multimillion dollar, year-round resort called The Reserve at Norton Pond Thursday, but instead learned the developer needed another extension.

Showing a desire to work with the developer, the planning board voted to give WHG Development of Palm Springs, Calif., its third six- month extension, but made the vote contingent upon receiving the $15,000 required in the consulting fee agreement signed between the firm and the town. The funds cover the cost of a private consultant to review the plans on behalf of the town.
