FORT FAIRFIELD - Day nine of the search for a missing toddler yielded no new clues as searchers faced choppy, murky waters and strong winds on the Aroostook River, the Fort Fairfield police chief said Thursday.

A handful of searchers from the Maine Warden Service and the Fort Fairfield Police Department were searching for signs of 3-year-old Alexandria Winship-Wright, who they fear may have drowned in the fast-moving river April 25, Police Chief Joe Bubar said.
