City Voting Compromise

Summary


As a member of the citizens committee which worked with the city clerk on the new Bangor voting proposal, I would like to respond to Ken Buckley's Feb. 21 letter critical of the proposed changes.

The plan reduces the number of voting locations in Bangor from eight to four. That move cuts by more than half the substantial investment the city faces in upgrading polling places for voter accessibility standards and for improved voting equipment.
