Classmates Build Ramps for Friend Sumner Students Help Teen Hurt in Crash

SULLIVAN - A group of Sumner Memorial High School students spent the day Thursday building three ramps at the home of a classmate who is recovering from injuries she suffered in a head-on collision two weeks ago.

The students said they expect their friend, 17-year-old Shaye Sumner, who has been hospitalized since the Oct. 13 crash, to come home sometime within the next week or two.
