Summary
I enjoyed Alicia Anstead's fine article on the Colloquy Downeast discussion sessions in the March 10 Bangor Daily News. I have the pleasure of knowing Mike Blair personally and professionally and share the opinion of his excellence as a facilitator. The goals of the project are indeed laudable and the program seems to be a great success.
I do want to clarify a point that may have been misleading to some readers. As a teacher in two senior colleges, Penobscot Valley in Orono and Downeast in Ellsworth, and as a student in one, I want to point out that the mission of both programs, with the exception of senior colleges' age limitation, is essentially the same: to encourage intellectual stimulation.See the full content of this document
