Craig Survives Crash Biker Places 29th in International Race

MONT-SAINTE-ANNE, Quebec - U.S. Olympian and Exeter native Adam Craig recovered from a crash-filled start to finish 29th on Saturday in the elite men's cross country race of the 20th International Cycling Union Mountain Bike World Championships.

Jose Antonio Hermida Ramos of Spain won the event in 1 hour, 52 minutes, 26 seconds, 29 seconds ahead of Jaroslav Kulhavy of the Czech Republic. Burry Stander of South Africa finished third among the 85 riders who started the race, followed by defending world champion Nino Schurter of Switzerland and Julien Absalon of France.
