Summary
The meeting Thursday night to discuss the proposed Dexter boat launch ought to be a real barn burner. Citizens are being urged to attend the meeting while at the same time being told there will not be any opportunity for them to speak. Sounds like democracy in action will not be tolerated on this particular evening.
In a nutshell, the controversy comes down to the fact that over the past two years the state of Maine, Dexter Town Council, Planning Board and Board of Appeals have all approved the states' building of a simple boat launch on big Lake Wassookeag.
