WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $425,204 in funding for aviation initiatives in the state of Maine.
The state of Maine will receive $250,000 to fund an aeronautical survey of runway ends at three Maine airports: Millinocket Municipal Airport, Central Maine Airport of Norridgewock, and Greenville Municipal Airport. The survey will evaluate existing runway end obstructions in support of implementation of an approach that makes airports more accessible to pilots by providing vertical guidance to a particular runway end.See the full content of this document
