NEWPORT - Nokomis Regional High School has announced that Goodwin "Goody" Gilman will be the commencement speaker for the Class of 2009.

He is a graduate of Newport High School in 1954 and Dartmouth College in 1959. In 1961, Gilman Electric started to grow from a division within a hardware store into 18 electrical supply distribution facilities in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and upstate New York.
