Hampden Man Gets 18 Months for Part in Gun Theft in Brewer

Summary


BANGOR - The federal judge who last month sentenced a Vermont man to 10 years in prison for stealing more than a dozen guns from a Brewer military supply store reluctantly sentenced a co-defendant Monday to 18 months in federal prison for his part in the April burglary.

U.S. District Judge John Woodcock called the sentence he imposed on Sayer Tamiso, 19, of Hampden "lean" compared to the sentence he imposed on Tennyson Marceau, 20, of Lyndonville, Vt. Woodcock said the disparity in the sentences was in part the result of how the two men behaved after the robbery.
