Summary
The people of Maine have voted against sexual orientation as a special class of citizens. They did this at the ballot box. Since the people do not want a special class, Sen. Karl Turner has introduced a bill, LD 1196, for the governor, to extend civil rights to all people regardless of sexual orientation.
