BANGOR - A former Holden elementary school teacher was sentenced Monday to three years in federal prison for distributing child pornography using his home computers despite his eloquent apology and plea for mercy.

U.S. District Judge John Woodcock also sentenced Christopher Reardon, 35, of Houlton to three years of probation.
