MACHIAS - Cynthia Huggins, who has been the University of Maine at Machias' acting vice president for academic affairs since soon after the sudden death of the university's president in May 2003, has been named as UMM's next interim president.
Sue Huseman, the current interim, told the campus community the news on Friday. She stepped in after John Joseph died on the day of UMM's graduation ceremonies in 2003. She will leave the campus at the end of the semester. Huggins then moves into the interim president position for six months, starting Jan. 1.See the full content of this document
