BAR HARBOR - When the McNatton family boarded a crowded Island Explorer bus Tuesday afternoon in Northeast Harbor, they had no idea that their trip back to Bar Harbor would be anything special.

But the ride was 1 in 2 million. The family from Cary, N.C., was bombarded with gift certificates and speeches as they got off the bus at the Village Green as the 2 millionth passengers to ride the propane-powered bus fleet.
