Summary
I have watched with interest Gov. Baldacci's proposed education reform plan. I have read and researched a massive amount of material and see only confusion and changing understanding of the mechanics it is going to take to meet time frames and details to complete this plan. Many of us work in the communities we serve and have a pulse on what people want for their children.
We have friends and family members who work in the school system we serve, which is quite often the largest employer in the district. We serve because we care about our children. Now we find that we will be serviced by "super boards" which may or may not have representation from our schools and complete power for operation of our districts.See the full content of this document
