AUGUSTA - The commission reviewing Maine's trash policies heard several presentations on wooden debris and out-of-state waste on Wednesday but appears far from consensus on how to handle the contentious issues.

Members of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Solid Waste Management agreed to request a deadline extension - from Jan. 1 until Feb. 15 - for their final report to the Legislature on the myriad trash- related issues on the group's slate.
