LINCOLN - The state Department of Labor and the office of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins will hold information sessions today for workers affected by the temporary layoffs at Lincoln Pulp and Paper Co.
The Labor Department's Rapid Response Team will be available to answer questions about unemployment and job retraining benefits at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Although the layoff at the local mill is considered temporary, displaced workers may be eligible to collect benefits, according to Adam Fisher, assistant to Labor Commissioner Laura Fortman.See the full content of this document
