Lincoln Dances Raise Funds for Homecoming

LINCOLN - The five Chuck Foster Teen Dances held at Mattanawcook Academy by the town Recreation Department since August 2009 have drawn a total of 1,018 teenagers and raised $6,039 in revenues for the annual town of Lincoln homecoming and the proposed recreational center, Town Manager Lisa Goodwin said.

Held Jan. 15, the most recent dance drew 228 teens ages 13-18, said town events coordinator Shelly Crosby, who helps run the dances. Since the dances began in August 2008, more than 2,300 teens have participated, raising $12,795, Goodwin said.
