Lincoln Road Given 'Band-Aid' Until Spring

LINCOLN - Often lined with potholes and washouts, the 500 feet of West Broadway between Spring Street and the Hannaford supermarket parking lot entrance is so poor that it's almost enough to jar the fillings out of a motorist's mouth.

That's why interim Town Manager Lisa Goodwin, state Rep. Jeffery Gifford and other town officials successfully lobbied state Department of Transportation officials to fix the road. Regrading and repaving began Monday and should finish by Thursday, Goodwin said.
