Summary
I am deeply disappointed to hear both of our senators sound as if they will rubber stamp Bush's choice for the Supreme Court, even though it is plain that Harriet Miers' only qualification for this lifetime appointment is that she has served Bush loyally. I believe this cowardice on their parts will ultimately cost them their jobs - I know I won't vote for them again if they agree to appointing a justice who has never even been a judge.
I have some hope that this appointment will be rejected. Will our senators make us proud or ashamed when the votes are counted? And, what will the replacement appointee look like if Miers is rejected?See the full content of this document
