Millinocket Council Seeks Searsport Resolve Statement Would Urge Port's Industrial Use

MILLINOCKET - It's about 100 miles away, but Searsport is probably almost as valuable to the Katahdin region as it is to Sears Island. Katahdin Paper Co., the region's largest employer, ships its goods and supplies through that industrial port, Maine's second largest next to Portland.

That's why the Town Council is considering a resolution supporting the port's continued industrial use.
