Summary
The article, "Maine No. 4 for new arrivals/Census data show impressive growth; birth rate remains low" (BDN, Feb. 16), by Mal Leary, was disturbing.
The assumption was made that people are moving to Maine because of the ambiance - living near water in a scenic environment. No mention was made of the fact that Maine is one of the easiest states in which to receive Medicaid. There is no waiting list and very few restrictions.
