STACYVILLE - Carl Nemer scored two goals in a seven-minute span in the second half as the Ashland Hornets rallied for a 3-2 high school boys soccer win over the Katahdin Cougars Friday.

Nemer tied the game with 22 minutes with 15 minutes left by slipping the ball past Katahdin goalie Jared Anderson during a goal- mouth scramble.

Jeremy Tarr scored the game-opening goal for 8-1-2 Ashland and Kevin Baker finished with nine saves on 14 shots.

Andy Kay had a goal and an assist for 7-4-1 Katahdin and Marshall Davis had the other goal. Anderson wound up with six saves on 12 shots.
