Summary
With great interest, I followed the New Sweden tragedy last year principally because my maternal grandparents emigrated from Sweden (the country) to Boston in 1897. Several old residents, along with a prominent doctor, told me that it is common practice for people in northern Maine to mix sugar and arsenic together to kill ants.
I truly believe that Daniel Bondesesn picked up a jar of this mixture inside the church, probably on the floor, and innocently placed it in the kitchen. After all, both sugar and arsenic are white.See the full content of this document
