Partnership Secures Future of Senior Center

BANGOR - Under a partnership agreement unveiled Tuesday, the Hammond Street Senior Center, which serves more than 1,700 members from the region, is being donated to the city.

The partnership, slated to take full effect in three years, was announced by John Couri, who along with his wife, Elaine, established the senior center, and by City Council Chairman Richard Greene during the center's ninth annual business meeting at the Bangor Elks Club.
