Summary
Alison Settele has joined the Warren Center in Bangor as its newest audiologist. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in speech correction from East Stroudsburg University in 1981 and earned a master's degree in speech pathology and audiology from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia in 1983. She is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed as an Audiologist, hearing aid dealer and fitter in Maine. Settele is a 20-year veteran of audiology. As a military spouse, she has worked in many locations around the world including California, Japan and Italy. She most recently worked for Eastern Maine Medical Center in the audiology department. She has experience in comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations for pediatrics to geriatrics, hearing aid dispensing, balance testing battery, assistive listening devices, educational audiological consulting, industrial hearing conservation, and custom noise and swim protection.
Milt Balke is the Warren Center's new office assistant. He assists the audiology and speech departments by setting up appointments and maintaining files. Balke is a graduate of Searsport District High School and went through basic training for the United States Air Force after graduation in 1987. He went on to train to work on F-4 and B-52 aircraft and, in 1996, cross-trained to become an Air Force medic. He retired from active duty in August 2007.
