PITTSFIELD - The Pittsfield Public Library will offer a program on bats at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, in the Warren Community Room.
The program will introduce audiences to local and tropical bats. Through slides and taped bat calls, the audience will move beyond stereotypes to understand the vital role of bats, which control insect populations, pollinate night-blooming flowers and disperse seeds. Those attending this family-friendly activity will learn about bats in our attics, building bat houses, vampire bats, migration and hibernation.See the full content of this document
