Summary
The Rev. Dr. T. Richard Snyder, claiming to represent the moral high ground of the Question 1 debate in his Nov. 1 op-ed, asserts that "... an interpretation or law that harms people should be rejected. If it's damaging to the most vulnerable among us, it's wrong." Well, "harms people" and "most vulnerable" are in the eye of the beholder.
To me, it is harmful to people to let them think that diversity in sexual orientation is equivalent to diversity of race or gender. It is harmful to tell them that activity that will destroy their humanity is actually a valid choice to be celebrated and encouraged. One could argue that, in addition to homosexuals, pedophiles are also among our "most vulnerable": they are, after all, so publicly ostracized and condemned.
