WINSLOW - Good teams take advantage of opportunities and that's what the Winslow Black Raiders did in taking a 30-0 halftime lead en route to a 37-21 Pine Tree Conference Class B football victory over Hampden Academy on a cloudless, crisp Saturday at Poulin Field.

After Hampden's Bobby Seger bobbled the game's opening kickoff, he held onto the ball but was gobbled up by a sea of Winslow defenders at the Hampden 8-yard line. The Raiders then forced the Broncos to a three-and-out, took over at the Hampden 31, and scored four plays later when Jared Maroon burst up the middle for a 7-yard TD.
