BANGOR - A small group of protesters called on U.S. Sen. Susan Collins to support the Chemical and Water Security Act of 2009, which would help protect potentially vulnerable chemical facilities in Maine and across the country.

Collins' office in Bangor on Thursday to unveil new research on risks associated with six chemical facilities in Maine.
