Recently, while watching the entertainment segment of a morning news show with my 18-year-old daughter, I found myself increasingly outraged by the amount of attention focused upon the upcoming nuptials between pop-culture diva Britney Spears and her latest fianc.
In light of the world's current state of political and social distress, Spears' quest for marital bliss might strike some as a welcome interlude of entertaining fluff.
