Summary
I fail to understand why Sherry Sullivan (BDN, July 24) is suing Fidel and Raul Castro for the death of her father, especially in a Waldo County Superior Court. This wastes money of those taxpayers and is a completely inappropriate venue for this issue. She would be better off filing in Cuba or the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The fact is she is suing the wrong entity. Her father died while participating in an illegal attack on a sovereign nation by the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States. His death, while tragic, is the responsibility of his employer not his captor. Given her logic, the relatives of those who have died in Iraq should start suing the Maliki government for wrongful death.See the full content of this document
