ST. AGATHA - Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a grocery store after a masked man brandished a hatchet and demanded money, according to Sgt. David McPherson of the Maine State Police.

Officials are seeking any information about a suspicious person and vehicle that people may have seen near Babin's Grocery Outlet or Wisdom High School in St. Agatha at about 8 p.m. Thursday, McPherson said Friday.
