BANGOR - A joint police task force has recovered an estimated $20,000 in stolen tools and equipment and arrested one man who authorities say is part of a much larger drug-related theft ring.

On Wednesday, officials opened the wash bay at the Penobscot County Jail to display the results so far of a several weeks-long cooperative investigation involving county deputies, Maine State Police, and investigators from Old Town and Orono. On a large section of the floor were placed power tools, generators and other stolen equipment.
