Summary
As a registered nurse, I take issue with any portrayal of the stance taken by area nursing as being one that is driven by money. Our goal is to advocate for our patients in the best way possible by making sure they are able to receive the care they deserve. I would predict that the majority of nurses went into this field to help people at a difficult time in their lives.
I have the privilege of caring for critically ill infants and watch families entrust people they've often never met with the well- being of their newborn. As nurses we care for people at their most vulnerable times and invest ourselves deeply in their outcomes.See the full content of this document
