Topless Skiers Cheer Caribou Teammate at Junior Biathlon

PRESQUE ISLE - Stripped to the waist in near 20-degree weather Wednesday morning, 10 Caribou High School cross-country skiers were showing their support for one of their own competing in the 2006 Biathlon Junior World Championships.

Each of the youths had a letter or a symbol written across his bare chest saying, "We [heart symbol] Russell." Their star - and Aroostook County's biathlon star in the world competition - was Russell Currier of Woodland who is also a member of the Caribou High School Nordic ski team.
