SKOWHEGAN - For tourists, shoppers and traveling businesspeople, Skowhegan's one-way flatiron district can be challenging. So local planners are mulling changing the traffic to a two-way flow, and held a flurry of meetings in the past week to gather information.

Road Commissioner Gregory Dore said Monday that many studies on two-way proposals indicate that the two-way flow would slow down traffic, thereby helping to revitalize the downtown shopping area.
