AUGUSTA - In the wake of a recent U.S. Inspector General's report critical of Maine's Medicaid billing system, the Baldacci administration admitted to a frustrated legislative panel Thursday that the state's computer system requires more tweaking.

Still, commissioners with the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Administrative and Financial Services emphasized improvements have been made and that the governor's office has been totally accountable to lawmakers on the Appropriations Committee concerning any deficiencies.
