Summary
I agree 100 percent with Bill Blackwell's letter (BDN, Oct. 16). Every time I have to be at the intersection of Stillwater and the Interstate 95 exit, I witness vehicles making the illegal left turn onto Stillwater Avenue. When the new Shaw's opens, it will get even worse, I'm sure. Something needs to be done with this intersection to allow traffic to legally turn left.
As for Howard Street, the city does seem to be influenced by a few residents and their snobbish attitude about "their" street. The last I knew, Howard Street is a public way, just like every other street in Bangor. Ever since this has become an issue, I have been making it a deliberate point to drive on Howard Street whenever I'm in the area, just because I can.See the full content of this document
