EAST MACHIAS - Takao Kurose pitched a four-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking six, to lead the Washington Academy Raiders to a 6-0 high school baseball win over the Shead Tigers Friday.

Corey Colbeth paced the Washington Academy offense with two doubles and two singles. Jeffrey Ramsdell slammed a three-run home run and a single. Tim Nicely tripled and Nick Wood doubled.
