Real Maine Wedding Contest Winners to Have Public Choose Rings

FREEPORT - Laura Plaisted and Nolan Hood, winners of the inaugural Real Maine Wedding of the Year contest, have one remaining aspect of their wedding to be decided by public vote. Most recently, adecision was made on the couples' honeymoon, with the public choosing a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, by Dragonfly Travel. Now through Aug. 11, members of the public can vote on the couples' wedding bands from Brown Goldsmiths in Freeport.

To vote for Plaisted and Hood's wedding bands, visit www.realmaineweddings.com and click on the Real Maine Wedding of the Year contest page. Three options for the rings are up for vote. The first two options are wedding bands that have been selected by Plaisted and Hood. The third option allows the couple to design their own wedding bands with the help of jewelry experts from Brown Goldsmiths.
